Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports on Inter coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans ahead of the Serie A fixture away at the Mapei Stadium against Sassuolo this Saturday the 23rd of December with kick-off scheduled for 15.00 CET.

According to the report Spalletti may start the match with Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario in the number ten role in midfield behind Mauro Icardi up front. Given former Fiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino’s suspension after having picked up too many yellow cards, Spalletti’s choice for the midfield places has narrowed down to a race between Roberto Gagliardini, Joao Mario and Marcelo Brozovic with another former Viola player, Borja Valero, being sure of a start in the starting lineup.

If Corriere dello Sport are to be believed then the Portuguese Euro 2016 winner will form a midfield trio together with Roberto Gagliardini and Borja Valero with Marcelo Brozovic starting on the bench after a couple of disappointing performances.
