Javier Pastore may well have played his last ever game in a PSG shirt, with Inter waiting on the sideline to give Spalletti his missing piece in his 4-2-3-1 jigsaw puzzle, a possibility which was confirmed by El Flaco’s agent yesterday.

The emotion on the face of Pastore was very visible for all spectators at the end of the winning match against Caen which felt like his farewell to Paris. Premium Sport managed to speak to Pastore after the match and these were the Argentine’s words: “Deciding to leave is difficult with these great fans who love me so much. They have always been very close to me, to feel that they want me to stay is an amazing feeling for me.”

His current manager Unai Emery also added a few words on the situation: “In the last few matches he worked hard for the team, his quality and commitment are indisputable, I am happy as a coach for him because he is going through a good moment. In our conversations he never told me he wanted to leave. When he is doing well, like in this match, the team plays very well with him on the pitch.”
