Inter’s Portuguese international full-back Joao Cancelo stopped by Inter TV in the Serie A to analyze the defeat against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.
Cancelo began by talking about his partnership on the right hand side with Antonio Candreva stating that: “our understanding can only improve but now we must immediately and quickly recover. We had many chances, we created many chances, we had a penalty but we were unable to take advantage of them and score goals.”
The former Valencia player was then what his favorite position on the pitch is to which he replied: “Playing as a full-back in my original position. Today was the first time I played in that position since arriving at Inter but I am only interested in helping the team playing wherever the coach wants me to play.”
In conclusion the Portuguese full-back looked ahead to the upcoming fixtures against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia and the Serie A fixture at home against Lazio saying that: “Now it is two important matches against two great teams but we are Inter and we have to win.”
