Inter are team in free fall. No wins in their last 5 matches in all competitions. Only one goal scored and 5 goals conceded. After enjoying a near perfect start to the season remaining unbeaten until mid December, the current run of results  is starting to worry fans and is making Luciano Spaletti’s job much more difficult.

In recent games Inter have had to live off scraps and few sparks of individual brilliance. The team cohesion seems to have been lost and the performances have failed to impress. Last night they slumped to their third consecutive defeat in all competitions. They lost 1-0 to city rivals Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter final after extra time. A hard defeat to take which will undoubtedly leave its mark on the team ahead of their next match at home to Lazio on Saturday evening in Serie A. The team seems devoid of any confidence at the moment and almost seems reigned.

With this in mind, Gazzetta dello Sport believe it’s going to be difficult for Luciano Spalletti to re-motivate the team for what is now a crucial game. It would appear that this team is suffering, like many others before it, of the familiar Inter bipolar syndrome where it’s all or nothing and nothing in between. A “Pazza Inter” in every way imaginable.
