Inter are a team in need of defensive cover at the moment. Short of options at full quota, they are even more so at the moment with Joao Miranda and Danilo D’Ambrosio both out injured. With this in mind they may be prepared to launch an outrageous bid to sign Lazio defender now in this January transfer window.

The Dutch defender has only six months left on his contract at the Rome based side and Europe’s big clubs are already starting to circle around the defender as they look to grab him on a free in the summer. Inter are one of the interested parties but unlike the rest, they may be willing to make a bid to buy in January.

Libero reports that if a deal is to happen in January it is thought that Lazio would look to get a fee in the region of €25-30 million. This will prove to be Inter’s biggest stumbling block in a January transfer window where Suning will not have a lot money at their disposal.
