One of Inter’s primary targets for the summer transfer window is Fiorentina and Italian international winger, Federico Chiesa.

With the huge clash taking place at the Franchi in Florence between Inter and Fiorentina tonight, football agent Matteo Materazzi, the brother of former Inter defender Marco Materazzi, was interviewed by Radio Sportiva discussing Inter’s interest in Chiesa: “From what I know, Chiesa is a concrete target for Inter and that both clubs have already begun discussing the potential terms. Nothing will occur during this transfer window but potentially in June for an amount around €50 million. The Nerazzurri will try and make a push for the player.”

With UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules and regulations hanging over the shoulder of Inter, the Nerazzurri desperately need Champions League football in order to recover funds from advancing to the tournament for which the club has not seen for the last five seasons.

Chiesa is a huge target but can it occur without Champions League football next season, is the big question.
