Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio stopped by Premium Sport for what has now become his traditional weekly interview, tonight from the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence when Inter played against Fiorentina

Ausilio was asked about the rumours concerning Inter’s interest in FC Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu to which he replied: “we have not made any official request for him, we have him under our attention. If the conditions are right to do something, we know the traits we are looking for. He could be one of the profiles but he is not the only one and it is not a certain thing.”

Ausilio was then asked about Joao Mario’s sitiation at Inter: “Our coach has the right to make his choices. This is a quality team and he believed in all our players. Joao plays as a winger with the Portuguese national team. We have no intention to part ways with him or any player. We have the right squad, some players have hurt themselves, there is a possibility to do something but the squad is rightly built. We have only one competition to play in, we know the deals that we can make and if there is an opportunity to do something then we are ready.”

In conclusion Ausilio was asked about the rumours in Spanish media that Real Madrid are preparing a bid for Inter captain Mauro Icardi saying: “We are not worried. The clause is valid for foreign teams and can be activated until July but we and Mauro have a common will to remain together and achieve our goals. Then I don’t exclude that we can sit down calmly and extend his contract although no appointments have been scheduled to do this.”
