In the aftermath of Friday night’s 1-1 draw against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, Pierpaolo Marino discussed Inter’s current situation in Rai Sport’s television studios. The 63-year-old is convinced that the Nerazzurri’s main problem lies with the fact they have such a clear lack of depth in the squad:

“To win Serie A you must have at least 19 or 20 players who are all of a high level, and who can raise their game accordingly. Then you must also have a great coach, who is able to get the best out of everyone. However, if there is a lack of options on the bench, then you are in trouble.

“The market? I do not understand why Inter are enduring so many difficulties on the transfer market at the moment. Suning is a huge company, and are very powerful worldwide. They also appointed Walter Sabatini, who has made it clear to us all several times that he wants to do great things in Milan.
