Italian media outlet Sky Sports Italia report that Inter coach Luciano Spalletti feels he is lacking a back-up to Nerazzurri captain and striker Mauro Icardi.

According to the report, the former Roma coach wants Inter to bring in a player that can act as cover for Mauro Icardi who has been in lethal form so far this season scoring 18 times in 20 Serie A fixtures. Spalletti reportedly feels that he lacks a valid reserve attacker, someone who can give the Argentinian international striker a break.

Sky Sports Italia reports further that neither Italian international Eder nor French youngster Yann Karamoh have convinced Spalletti enough to feel that he trusts them to act as cover for Icardi. This claim has not been confirmed by Inter, however the stats do speak in favor of the story as Eder has played a total of 194 minutes so far whilst Karamoh has featured only 44 minutes in total this season.
