Inter defender Joao Miranda has taken great strides toward recovering for Inter’s next match with Roma in 10 days time on January 21.

The Brazilian is not the only one trying to recover from an injury but the news for the others is not so positive. While Miranda will almost certainly be back for the game at San Siro, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Andrea Ranocchia are not so likely, in fact D’Ambrosio will not feature at all.

D’Ambrosio is sidelined with a knee injury and has missed the past three games while Ranocchia, who celebrated seven years on Inter’s books yesterday, picked up a knock in the Fiorentina game and has a muscle problem. In D’Ambrosio’s absence though, Joao Cancelo has come in and done well.

Miranda’s return will come as a welcome relief to Nerazzurri manager Luciano Spalletti who will be able to see the solid partnership between the veteran and Milan Skriniar resume.
