Barcelona are unhappy with Inter’s proposed redemption figure of €20 million for Rafinha according to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana are in contact with the Nerazzurri over a potential transfer involving the 24-year-old and a loan has initially been agreed upon.

A spokesperson for the Catalan club revealed to Mundo Deportivo that they have no intention of losing Rafinha on a permanent basis and do not consider Inter’s offer of €20 million fair. Instead, Barcelona would be looking for around double that if they were to give Rafinha away as they believe he is worth much more and in the long run could be competing for a place in Ernesto Valverde’s starting 11 each week.

Inter and Rafinha are understood to have agreed on personal terms in principal but this news could put a spanner in the works and mean Inter can only acquire the player on loan with no redemption fee.
