Inter are understood to be in talks with Atletico Madrid over wingers Yannick Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan as per a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The Spanish club would ultimately like to sell both the Belgian and Argentine outright but Inter could offer Joao Mario in a trade offer to land one of them. This comes despite Joao Mario being a player Inter could raise some serious cash from which would their Financial Fair Play cause.

Making a serious assault for Gaitan at the moment is difficult because he does not have EU status and Inter only have one non-EU spot left which they may wish to use on other targets instead. The former Benfica man’s representatives have however recently stated that they are working on securing their client a Portuguese passport. The Nerazzurri are not alone in courting Gaitan however and face competition from Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
