Joao Mario directly affects Inter and their pursuit of Sevilla’s Joaquin Correa according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has been working with his opposite numbers at the Spanish side over a loan swap deal that would see the Portuguese go to Spain and Correa back to Italy. At this moment, the move depends on Joao Mario whose word could either see the deal succeed or collapse.

The Nerazzurri have long followed Joaquin Correa, presumably since his time at Sampdoria prior to his move to Sevilla 18 months ago. The 23-year-old can play on either wing and through the middle and has been capped at international level by Argentina.

Inter pipped a number of the top European club’s to Joao Mario’s signature after he starred in Portugal’s European Championship win in 2016. However, the 24-year-old has failed to regularly live up to expectations and is one of the players Inter could sell for a big sum.
