The Italian sports media outlets are all in agreement that Rafinha transfer to Inter is very close. In fact, today, Piero Ausilio will probably discuss the very final details of the deal in order to bring the Brazilian to Inter as soon as possible.

“The formula of a free and loan and non-binding right to redeem has been agreed”, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport. The obstacles prior to this agreement, were based around the cost of the redemption fee, with Barcelona’s very high initial asking price of €40 million in comparison to the Nerazzurri’s offer of €25 million including bonuses, with Inter clearly coming out on top in this negotiation.

Inter did not want to run the risk of being financially mocked, considering Rafinha has not seen the field since last April, while also taking into account his knee troubles. However, Barcelona wanted a guarantee, in case the young Brazilian became successful in Milano.

Although now it seems that those in charge of the deal for Barcelona have decided to accept the Nerazzurri’s second offer of €28 million.

Representatives for the Nerazzurri will arrive in Catalonia shortly to define the details of the negotiation. Rafinha, who has been out, due to a meniscus problem, has been training with the group for a month and a half now and cannot wait to see some action.
