Valencia manager wants a right back and Joao Cancelo is one of the targets according to Spanish news outlet Superdeporte.

Cancelo is on loan at Inter from the Spanish side and have knocked back several requests from Valencia to allow the Portuguese to return back to Spain six months earlier than planned. Valencia manager Marcelino has also openly admitted he believes the return of the 23-year-old “remains very difficult” recently.

Upon arriving at Inter in the summer as part of a deal that saw Geoffrey Kondogbia go the other way, Cancelo struggled to break in to the team. Just shortly after joining he suffered an injury on international duty and by the time he had recovered Danilo D’Ambrosio had cemented himself as Luciano Spalletti’s starting right back as Inter’s unbeaten run continued. However, D’Ambrosio picked up an injury a few games ago and Cancelo has grabbed this opportunity with both hands and performed well.
