Former Italian national team manager Marcello Lippi spoke on the current race for the Serie A title this season in an interview with La Stampa.

“This season, the league is a bit different from the other years, there is more competition. This year there is a team in Napoli who have the potential to take down Juventus and have the desire to stop them winning six titles in a row.”

Lippi then named Inter as another team who could potentially topple Juventus or at least run them close for the scuddeto.

“I can not rule out that the Nerazzurri can come back in to the race for the title. They started very well but then they slowed down abruptly but a run of victories can help them get back on track with their ambitions.  Inter can go back in to the race but as for Roma, it seems more difficult for them.”
