Only €3 million separate Inter from securing Rafinha as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport. Initially starting from very different positions regarding the figure for the right of redemption, now the two giants are very close to agreeing a deal.
“Inter have offered a free loan with a right of redemption fee of €35 million, without bonuses. The Catalan club reduced their demand to €38 million, with the idea to raise the redemption clause as high as possible, after it became aware to them that Inter would never go as high as €40 million.”
Today there will be a definitive meeting with the Blaugrana management who will more than likely give their final answer to Inter’s offer. Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio left Catalonia to give them some time to consider his offer. In between this, it has also been revealed that Inter will pursue one of Joaquin Correa or Nicolas Gaitan, should Barca refuse the offer.
