In today’s edition of Il Giornale, the newspaper labeled the January transfer session as one of the most ‘lackluster’ windows in recent years.

According to the report “Inter are struggling with FFP so they are trying to settle the Rafinha and Ramires deal both by loan deals with right to redeem. Piero Ausilio has returned from Spain after submitting Inter’s offer for Rafinha. Barcelona are expected to take their time before responding. The offer is said to be €35 million but the Spanish league leaders value the player at € 45 million.”

Il Giornale suggests that inter are looking elsewhere at “Nicolás Gaitan from Atletico Madrid can also be an alternative for Inter but the problem with him is his non-EU nationality. So, to be under consideration for the Nerazzuri, he needs to have his passport ready as soon as possible. On the other hand Inter may say goodbye to Ramires who is rated by Luciano Spalletti highly. Suning and Walter Sabatini are struggling to find a replacement for Jiangsu and without that Ramires won’t be allowed to leave.”
