According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter directors Walter Sabatini and Piero Ausilio are struggling to unblock their proposed move for Jiangsu Suning midfielder Ramires. Therefore, they have begun looking for alternatives. Bologna’s Godfred Donsah is highly rated in Milan, and may join in a deal which would see Andrea Pinamonti move to the Rossoblu on loan with option to buy. Yves Bissouma (Lille) and Thomas Partey (Atlético Madrid) are also on the Nerazzurri’s radar. In both cases, it would be necessary to include either João Mário or Marcelo Brozović in negotiations.

In attack, the club are also continuing to work hard on several fronts. Sevilla are reluctant to allow Joaquin Correa to leave, which has prompted Sabatini and Ausilio to look into the possibility of signing Nicolás Gaitán (Atlético Madrid), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) and André Schürrle (Borussia Dortmund). The Argentine is Ausilio’s preferred option, having been on his radar for a long time, but the fact he does not yet have a non-EU passport is problematic. Sturridge is also well liked, and contacts have indeed begun on the basis of a loan with option to buy. Amin Younes (Ajax), Javier Pastore (Paris Saint-Germain) and Erik Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur) also remain possibilities, though they are much less likely to be pursued.
