Inter full back Joao Cancelo is starting to impress recently after a slow start to life in Milan. A run of starts in the first team since Danilo D’Ambrosio’s injury at the start of December has shown the Portuguese player to be in good form and comfortable on the ball.

Having played in both the full back and winger positions, Joao Cancelo has impressed with the ball at his feet taking on players and showing some nice touches in tight spaces. This has now been backed up with some stats. According to whoscored.com from the nineteen attempted dribbles he has made so far this season he has beaten his opponent on new fewer than twelve times.

On the seven occasions he has been stopped it has almost always been with a foul in an attempt to progress with the ball. This all adds up to an impressive 63% success rate when attacking opposing players with the ball at his feet.
