The Joao Mario January transfer window soap opera doesn’t seem to want to find an end. Yet again the Portuguese player has rejected another offer as he awaits a more attractive offer from a big club.

According to Portuguese paper Record this time it was the turn of West Ham to have their advances rejected by the midfielder. After turning down both Everton and Watford from the Premier League earlier in the month, Joao Mario is determined to hold out for a more attractive offer. Whereas the rejections of the English clubs were deemed inferior to his expectations two offers that come in from Sevilla and Atletico Madrid in Spain were more to the liking of the player but he rejected both as he did not want to be used as a bargaining chip in any player exchange deal.

With time running out in this window and only 11 days left to find a solution, it seems that the players’ agent, Kia Jorabchian is set to intervene to try and find a destination that pleases the seemingly picky Joao Mario.
