Shortly after the final whistle of the game against Roma, Inter’s Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino, who scored the equaliser after a great cross from Marcelo Brozovic, gave his thought’s on the 1-1 draw in an interview with Premium Sport.

Vedino began by stressing the importance of match saying that: “we just could not lose this game, in the second half we gave everything we had and we crushed Roma. But I think that a draw was the most fair result.”

The former Fiorentina midfielder was asked about his goal replying: “Roma brings out the best of me, but it was important to give a good performance. Now, we just have to return to winning games. We will restart from our great reaction in the second half. Right now we are experiencing a tough moment without any wins, but we are on the right track as we could see from our performance in the second half. Tonight we were playing against a strong opponent and they also had good chances to score, but right now we have already started to focus on the next game which we have to win.”

In conclusion Vecino was asked if the draw feels like a win: “I do not know, we wanted to win but when you go one goal down you have to equalise. Next game important, you can not continue without victories.”
