Crystal Palace director of football Dougie Freedman has arrived in Milan to hold talks with Inter management over a possible transfer involving Eder according to reports.

It is unclear whether the Premier League side want the naturalised Italian forward on a permanent basis or a loan with an option to redeem him but regardless, it is understood €10 million will be enough to take Eder away from Inter.

The 31-year-old has made a total of 18 appearances in all competitions this term but struggled to find the net, scoring just once. He recently signed a contract renewal to the end of the 2020/21 season but it could well have been a ploy on Inter’s behalf to raise his price slightly.

With Eder possibly on his way out, Inter have intensified contact with Liverpool over Daniel Sturridge, who would serve as his replacement as well as being the vice-Icardi that Inter have been on the look out for, for quite some time.
