Inter’s Brazilian international defender Joao Miranda was back in the starting line-up in yesterday night’s 1-1 draw in the Serie A at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against Roma after being sidelined for a few weeks due to injury.

The former Atletico Madrid defender stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on the match: “Alisson made many saves, he is a great goalkeeper but the draw stands. We gave a great second half performance but now we have to return to winning. We need to change.

“We made too many mistakes in the first half, but then we demonstrated our quality and showed that we can be a very strong team. We should play like this from the beginning but it should be said that even in the first 45 minutes Roma created very little, their only chance came from the goal when we made a mistake that can happen” Miranda continued.

The Brazilian international was then asked why he thinks the team struggles to score despite creating many chances: “These are moments that can occur where the ball just wont go in. We have to work harder, be more cynical and then this negative moment will pass. We need to have some success to change the trend.”

In conclusion Miranda was asked if he though the defence did well as a whole seing hwo they managed to keep Dzeko quiet for the entire match to which he replied: “Yes, but unfortunalte we conceded a goal nonetheless. We go away from this match with a lot of anger for the only fatal error we made. Now we focus on SPAL, it wont be easy but we are Inter and we must win.”
