Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has made it clear to interested parties that Eder is only available if club’s wish to take him outright according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

With this news, Premier League side Crystal Palace have pulled out of the race, after the intermediary for the deal told them they would have to pay €10 million or forget about signing the naturalised Italian striker.

Russian club Zenit are also understood to be interested in the 30-year-old, who recently penned a contract extension through to the end of the 2020/21 season.

In the final few days of the winter transfer window, things could accelerate around the former Sampdoria man, who has fulfilled the role as Inter’s 12th man this season.

Other reports in the media suggest that Eder’s future with the club will determine whether or not Inter make a serious assault on Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
