Inter’s search and quest for another central midfielder on the express request of coach Luciano Spalletti is hardly a secret even after the collapsed transfer of Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain to the Nerazzurri.

Italian media outlet Premium Sport report that two unnamed intermediaries  from Portugal have been at Inter’s head offices in central Milano for about an hour before leaving hastily and not stopping to answer any questions.

According to the report the mission of the two intermediaries is to bring Sporting’s Portuguese international midfielder William Carvalho to Inter, maybe by a straight swap with Croatian international midfielder Marcelo Brozovic who has been linked with a move to Sevilla and Everton during this transfer window.

William Carvalho has spent six seasons at the Portuguese club featuring 172 times across all competitions scoring on ten separate occassions in the process. The 25-year old has so far won 40 caps for Portugal, scoring twice and was part of the European Championship winning side of 2016.
