Former Inter and Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini has heaped praise on Yuto Nagatomo after the full back joined the Turkish club on loan yesterday.

“Nagatomo is a great player, a great person and a great professional. He is someone that does not create problems even when not playing all the time. He is always very positive and is a hard worker too,” Mancini, who know manages Russian giants Zenit St. Petersburg, told Turkish media outlet Haberturk.

The Japanese international has joined the Turk Telekom stadium on an initial six month loan deal having spent the past seven years on Inter’s books amassing well over 200 appearances for the Nerazzurri. The 31-year-old arrived from fellow Italian club Cesena and has been a loyal servant to the club through the years.

This season, he has made 13 appearances in all competitions but has not started a Serie A game since the start of November.
