Inter target Lautaro Martinez is set to be watched by Argentine national team manager Jorge Sampaoli in his next game.

“I am calm, the visit will allow me to put on a display and it is a source of pride for me,” the 20-year-old revealed to Super Mitre Deportivo.

If called up Martinez would have the opportunity to play alongside Lionel Messi, who he then spoke on.

“It would be crazy for me to be able to play alongside Messi in the national team but first of all I would like to meet him.”

The striker then gave his opinion on who he feels is better between Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain.

“It is hard to criticise either player as they are both in the national team.”

Martinez concluded the interview by discussing his future amid the interest from Inter, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“I will continue to try to give my best and what happens off the pitch is down to my agent and my family.”
