January signing Rafinha could be in line to make his first Inter start this weekend when Inter play host to Crotone at the San Siro according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

In a bid to change Inter’s fortunes, Luciano Spalletti could opt to deploy his side in a 4-3-3 formation with the Brazilian playing alongside Borja Valero and Matias Vecino.

The players fitness has always been a concern since his arrival from Barcelona but Gazzetta further report that he has made superb progress on that front.

“The Brazilian has stunned Spalletti by working intensely to get as close to the same fitness levels as teammates. He is still undergoing specialised fitness sessions but should be alright for at least 60 minutes.”

Spalletti and his coaching staff are well aware of the quality that the 24-year-old can bring to the Inter team and will no doubt be hoping that he can return to peak physical condition soon in order for him to be able to perform to the best of his ability.
