Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is set to travel to Argentina in order to iron out the final details with Racing Club to be able to sign Lautaro Martinez according to reports.

Moreover, while in Argentina, Ausilio will take in Racing’s game this weekend against Huracan to take another look at the 20-year-old.

Martinez is understood to have chosen Inter over Manchester United, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid – despite Racing also having an agreement in principal with Atleti.

This season, Martinez has found the net on four occasions and assisted two goals in seven Argentine Primera Division appearances. Martinez has also starred at youth level for the Argentine national team, scoring seven times in 11 appearances for the U20’s side since making his debut at that level just over a year ago.

Reports in the Italian media have suggested Inter are set to spend an initial €15 million to secure one of Argentina’s best up and coming talents, who will join the Nerazzurri in the summer.
