Inter are not only interested in signing defenders when the upcoming transfer window reopens in the summer. Another objective for the club is to sign a valuable offensive winger in order to improve Inter coach Luciano Spalletti’s squad.

Italian newspaper TuttoSport argues that the Nerazzurri are keen on Tottenham Hotspur’s Argentinian winger Erik Lamela reporting that: “Towards the end of January, Inter executives re-established contacts with the entourage of Erik Lamela, who is an old target for Ausilio and was brought to Italy and Roma by Walter Sabatini from River Plate. His contract with Tottenham expires at the end of June 2020 and the player himself is doing well in London, however, during this January’s transfer window, Tottenham brought in Lucas Moura from PSG, a player who resembles Lamela a lot. Inter is looking for a right winger that can cut into the center, like Lamela, but also like another player Inter is following: Simone Verdi. The Bologna player is always on Inter’s radar and after the player said no to Napoli, Inter could approach the player at the end of this season offering about €25 million € or players as conterparts to Bologna.”
