Italian media outlet La Repubblica reports in today’s newspaper that Inter have agreed terms with Lazio’s Dutch international central defender Stefan De Vrij, over a five year contract.

The report comes just a day after Biancocelesti Sporting Director Igli Tare confirmed that the player and the club will part ways at the end of the season. According to the report Inter have agreed terms with De Vrij over a five year contract which will see the former Feyenoord man earn €4 million net per season excluding bonuses which could take his salary up to €5,5 million net per season.

Lazio are now, according to La Republicca, appealing to the Dutchman’s professionalism given that the Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti are fighting it out for the coveted fourth spot in the Serie A which guarantees a spot in the last qualifying round to the groupstages of next season’s Champions League.

De Vrij is in his fourth season at Lazio having featured 252 times across all competitions getting on the scoresheet 14 times in the process.
