Waiting to understand his availability for the match with Benevento next Saturday, the current week could bring news regarding the contract renewal for Mauro Icardi at Inter Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports.

According to the report, over the next few days, at the latest next week, there may be the first real meeting between the entourage of Mauro Icardi and Inter to discuss the extension of the relationship between the parties. It will not be easy to find an agreement because the distance between supply and demand is significant, given that between his salry demants, bonuses and release clauses there are different aspects to work on.

Icardi’s agent and wife, Wanda Nara, for example, thinks that her husband’s fees, in terms of wages, have to rise from €5 to €8 million net per season, while the Nerazzurri club does not want to exceed €7 million net per season. Regarding the release clause, however, there would be no willingness to remove it altogether, but only to raise it up to €160 million, €50 million more than the current one.
