Italian media outlet ANSA reports that the son of Suning Supremo, Chang Jindong, Steven Zhang returns to Milano and the club’s training grounds at Appiano Gentile ahead of this weekend’s Serie A Derby della Madonnina against cross town rival’s AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district on Sunday night with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
The son of the Nerazzurri owner, who in the last two months has remained rather secluded, will now attend the team’s training sessions and will have lunch with coach Luciano Spalletti and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio according to the report.
This is an important signal and presence by the Nerazzurri owners after accusations by Inter fans in social media and by Chinese Inter fans in China, that Suning has been neglecting Inter. Steven Zhang will be in attendance at the San Siro Sunday night to watch the Milano derby, hoping that his presence can put an end to this talk as well as function as a catalyst for the squad to win after a difficult few months.
