Inter are working on trying to lower Bernard’s demands according to a report from FCInterNews.it. The Brazilian is currently looking to sign a four year deal with a base salary of €4 million per season but Inter want to sign him to a contract worth somewhere in the region of €2.5-3 million and also include bonuses instead.

The Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder has no shortage of interest in his services and is understood to want to sign the “most important contract of his career.”

Bernard is one of three players that the Nerazzurri are targeting with a view to a summer transfer alongside Kwadwo Asamoah and Stefan De Vrij, both of whom Inter are looking to land on free transfers. FCInterNews.it add that important steps have been taken towards securing the signatures of the Ghanaian and Dutch internationals recently. Both players have expiring contracts with Juventus and Lazio respectively and seemingly have no intention of prolonging their stays with their current employers.
