Lautaro Martinez’s agent Rolando Zarate has confirmed that his client will complete a summer transfer to Inter in an interview with TyC Sports.
“Martinez will go to Inter for 30 million [Argentine] dollars. We have always talked with the Nerazzurri about his departure [from Racing] in June, they will never agree to leave him in Argentina until December.”
Zarate then spoke on his clients chances of making the Argentina squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
“For the moment, his place in the team is not official yet, so we do not think about the starting date of the group,” he concluded.
Martinez has exploded on to the scene this season and attracted interest from a whole host of top European clubs aside from Inter including the likes of Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid. In 13 games this season in all competitions, the 20-year-old forward has netted 11 goals and assisted a further four.
