Former Inter defender Jeison Murillo has revealed things did not go as he had hoped they would at Inter in an interview with Colombian radio station WRadio.

“I do not want to blame the club, I learned a lot at Inter, I lost faith in myself and things didn’t go as I had hoped,” he explained.

After a fine breakout season with the club following a move from Grenada, Murillo struggled to replicate the same form in the second season and left the Nerazzurri in the summer past to return to Spain with Valencia. The centre back then discussed the differences between the two top flights in Italy and Spain.

“The differences? In Italy the league is definitely more tactical, in Spain it is more open and any team can score against you. They are two completely different leagues.”

The 25-year-old has made just 12 appearances for the Mestalla outfit this season as he suffered a long term injury that kept him out from late November to early February.
