Mauro Icardi’s 100th Serie A goal continues to elude him and Corriere dello Sport believe it is a technical problem that has stopped the Argentine international from reaching the milestone.

“The problem is technical. Inter, in fact, are struggling to produce opportunities for its striker. Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva are among the symbols of the Nerazzurri’s recent difficulties. The duo are Icardi’s main providers and if the trio can return to from, many of Luciano Spalletti’s problems would be solved,” the Milan based newspaper report.

The Inter captain has scored 18 goals this season in 25 games in all competitions (17 in the first half of the season) but has failed to find the net in over two months with him last finding the net on January 5th during the 1-1 draw away to Fiorentina. This weekend Inter take on the 25-year-old’s former employers in Sampdoria, who he scored two against earlier on in the season.
