Following AC Milan’s exit from the Europa League, the Lega can now start planning to re-schedule the Milan derby that was postponed in the wake of the tragic death of Fiorentina captain Davide Astori earlier this month.

Sport Mediaset report that Giovanni Malago will take a decision this coming Monday on the matter having heard from both clubs. All of the other games postponed have already been rescheduled for April 3rd or 4th so either of those dates are likely to be chosen for the derby.

Milan however are understood to have proposed playing the derby at the end of next month on Wednesday April 25th to be precise. The Rossoneri’s reasoning behind the proposal is because the 25th is a public holiday meaning more can attend the highly anticipated derby. As yet, it is unclear as to whether Inter have backed the proposal or have a proposal of their own to make.
