Galatasaray wish to turn Yuto Nagatomo’s stay at the club in to a permanent one in the summer according to a report from Turkish news outlet Fanatik.

The Japanese defender joined the Istanbul club on loan for the remainder of the season during the January transfer window and made 8 appearances across all competitions since his arrival.

The Turkish club wish to hold talks with the Nerazzurri management in the near future to discuss the chances of such a move coming to fruition and to try and get a rough deal agreed before the end of the season.

Nagatomo’s current manager Fatih Terim has added some weight to these reports by revealing a desire to keep a hold of the 31-year-old, who has also played for Cesena.

“I hope Nagatomo can continue with us next season,” Terim revealed in a recent interview.

With Inter still suffering from financial fair play problems, if the right offer arrives, Inter are likely to sell in order to raise the appropriate funds by the end of June.
