After last night’s confirmation from the Racing Club president alongside his own, Lautaro Martinez has again confirmed he is set to join Inter in the summer.
“It is almost all done with Inter, some details are missing that my representative is about to complete and medical visits are missing also,” he told TyC Sports.
He then revealed why he chose Inter over the many other interested parties and the possibility of remaining with the Argentine outfit for a little longer on loan.
“Inter came to Buenos Aires with a clear idea to buy me and I chose Inter because, in addition to the sporting fact, Javier Zanetti called me many times.”
“When the transfer is complete, the two clubs will decide which is the best option for me.”
The 20-year-old then spoke on the interest from Borussia Dortmund and admitted to meeting with them.
“The truth is that they were interested in me, they came to see me at La Bombonera, then the next day we met at my house and we talked but they asked us to wait a while.”
