Milan Skriniar has spoken on the possibility of replicating a Marek Hamsik style career at Inter.

“Maybe I could have a career similar to that of Marek Hamsik at Napoli, it would be nice, it is an honour for me to play with the Nerazzurri shirt.”

Tuttosport view this as “a significant promise” because it comes from one of the most courted players in the Inter team. They further report that Nerazzurri bosses value him at no less than €80 million. This was set by the €85 million fee Liverpool paid Southampton for fellow centre back Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window.

The market has went crazy for a “stopper” and if that is a good way to determine a player’s rating and worth and to be considered among the best in the world in their role, Inter believes that an internationally emerging player must be worth a similar amount. As always in these cases, to sweep the field from any temptations, the best solution is qualifying for the Champions League for next season.
