Corriere dello Sport are convinced that Roma lead the way in the race for Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante, ahead of many clubs like Inter.

Roma sporting director Monchi has a €35 million offer ready in order to avoid a repeat of last season wherein they lost out on another Atalanta midfielder in Franck Kessie to AC Milan.

“Rome is betting on Cristante in anticipation of a very dynamic market, especially among the midfield players. Monchi is willing to listen to offers for Nainggolan and especially for Strootman, who has a €45 million release clause. But the player most at risk in the department is Lorenzo Pellegrini, also master of his destiny because of the clause signed a year ago. Roma could yield €30 million from his sale, which represents a massive capital gain for them after only paying €8.75 million”

Cristante came in to numerous links with the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window but Inter management were ultimately unable to complete a deal to land the Italian international.
