Milan Skriniar spoke to Cas.Sk on his largely unexpected start to Inter and the difficulties he has faced since.
“The start at Inter was outstanding, we even came in first place [in the first half of the season]. We could not say we wanted the title. Over the course of the journey, however, we could not win all of the matches and we have learnt that the fight for the Champions League is difficult because four-five teams are still in the race for it.”
Many fans believe Skriniar is an irreplaceable part of the Inter side but he disagrees.
“I would not say I am irreplaceable in the team. I am happy to help the team and this is seen by both the teammates and the coach.”
He concluded the interview downplaying that many people consider him as a real star.
“I do not want to consider myself a star, even if I can say that walking on the street is always becoming more difficult, but it is not a problem for me to take pictures with the fans or exchange a few words with them.”
