Galatasaray have upped their €2 million offer for Yuto Nagatomo to €2.5 million according to a report from Turkish news outlet Fanatik.

The Japanese international defender is currently on loan with the 20 time Turkish Super Lig champions and his performances since arriving have lead to them pursuing a permanent move for him.

They plan to offer the 31-year-old – who has made 8 appearances since making the switch during the January transfer window – a two year contract with an option to a third year should they be able to convince Inter in to parting ways with him.

Nagatomo only has 18 months remaining on his contract with Inter and with financial fair play problems still existing, Inter may be keen to deal Nagatomo in order to help raise the funds needed for them to break even and try and free themselves from financial fair play and avoid further sanctioning from UEFA. With apparent interest in left back Kwadwo Asamoah, Nagatomo himself may look for an exit from Inter with playing time likely to massively decrease if he was to remain.
