In the press conference ahead of Fiorentina’s Serie A fixture against Crotone, former Inter goalkeeper and newly elected Inter Hall Of Famer Walter Zenga, who is currently the coach of Crotone, was interviewed by Violanews where he heaped praise for his colleague, Fiorentina manager Stefano Pioli, when asked about Pioli’s tenure at Inter: “Pioli is a very capable coach. At Inter he was simply unlucky otherwise he would still be there.”

So far this season, Stefano Pioli and Fiorentina stand in ninth place in the Serie A but have been on a good run of results of late, winning all their last three matches. The Viola will be hoping to continue their good run of form against 18th place Crotone who have won only one of their last 4 games, when defeating Sampdoria at home by 4-1 three weeks ago.

The match is very important for Zenga and his team as a point or a win would give them an excellent chance to repeat last seasons great escape when avoiding relegation.
