In an interview with Japanese media outlet DHA, the former Vice President of Galatasaray Abdurrahim Albayrak lavished praised on Inter loanee Yuto Nagatomo.

Albayrak began by stating that “Yuto does everything in his power to properly represent the shirt of Gala, he is always participating in extra sessions after the main training, and is fully committed to the success of the team.”

The statements were in response to media speculation as to whether or not Nagatomo will remain in Istanbul after his loan period expires this coming June. Since his move in January, the Japanese full-back has made nine appearances for Galatasaray, delivering two assists in the process. The Turkish giants current sit at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig, one point clear of İstanbul Başakşehir F.K.

Nagatomo joined the Nerazzurri in January 2011 and has since then made 211 appearances  across all competitions for Inter scoring 11 goals as well as winning the Italian Cup in his first season at the club.
