Inter coach Luciano Spalletti analyzed the 4-0 win in the Serie A against Cagliari at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Miano’s San Siro district in an interview with Italian media outlet Sky Sport Italia.

The former Roma tactician began by stating that: “Karamoh has to do better than what he did, if he does not play that often he should take advantage of the opportunities he is given but he played a good match, his attitude was not the best at times but that is fine. He needs to improve his finishing that is his Achilles heel.

“Inter did well, entered the pitch well and decided to play the match in Cagliari’s half, we did not let them catch up and we created two great chances but we should have scored more in the first half for sure. You need quality in character, technique and physical power, muscles. You need all three if you want to produce important results, without losing either one on the way” Spalletti continued.

The Nerazzurri coach was then asked about Gagliardini stating that “It could be a heavy loss, they complement eachother really well him and Brozovic and bring home a lot of things in that department. I am very sad if this is the case.”

Spalletti was then asked if he thinks that Icardi should always play like he did against Cagliari replying: “I agree completely, the more messages like this he gets the more he gets convinced. If he is only mentioned for his goals, he is taken to wait in the deep without participating because he thinks that he is more distant if he plays further down. In fact it is quite the contrary, that way he creates holes and is much more dangerous. Then he is fast, he has a great sprint.”

In conclusion Spalletti was asked to comment on Sabatini’s statements to which he replied: “He is a person I really like, he is very cultivated. I wait for him to invite me to dinner. The rest you can comment on.”
