Former Inter defender Fabio Galante spoke on a number of Inter related topics in an interview with RMC Sport, firstly reviewing Tuesday night’s 4-0 win over Cagliari.

“It was a game that Inter won very easily, Cagliari did little to nothing. It was a very good game at home, and the Nerazzurri are ready for the final sprint.”

Galante proceeded to discuss whether Inter can make the Champions League and what he would do with Luciano Spalletti if the Nerazzurri where to miss out.

“As an Interista, I hope the last game of the season between Lazio and Inter will not be decisive and that the Nerazzurri can get to that match already qualified for the Champions League.

“I do not even think about it [what would happen to Spalletti]. It was not easy for him to arrive in an environment where things had not gone very well the year before. I think Spalletti’s work has been important and I hope he can reach the top four.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on the importance of Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi to the team and had a few words on Inter prospect Yann Karamoh also.

“Both Perisic and Icardi are fundamental for this team. Inter are hard to beat, when they play against the big teams they have never lost, so it means that the matches are well prepared for.

“Karamoh? It is a sin that did not score [against Cagliari], but he is a young boy and I believe that being with so many champions will help him to improve.”
