Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini has shared his optimism that he will quickly return to action but today’s tests will reveal the extent of the injury and whether he will return soon or not.

It is expected that the 23-year-old Italian will miss the Nerazzurri’s next game with Chievo Verona therefore meaning Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will be forced in to making a change to the starting lineup Gazzetta dello Sport explain.

“Against Chievo, in the midfield, there will definitely be Borja Valero and Marcelo Brozovic and perhaps Matias Vecino. Spalletti has granted a day of rest for the team today that will resume preparation for Sunday’s match tomorrow.”

The Uruguayan midfielder has been struggling with an injury lately and the Milan based newspaper have brought an update on his situation.

“Vecino continued the personalised work scheme at training yesterday with the aim of being available for the match at the Bentegodi.”
